????
« on: May 01, 2016, 04:40 PM »
I have a couple things. First 06 impala ss 148000 on dash. I get low oil pressure stop engine only after car sits for 6 to 8 hours or more. Never when engine is warm. Ive replaced pressure sensor no change. I was going to put mechanical guage on by tapping oil cooler cover but even ordering part from gm and local auto stores the cover they all come up with is too small it is not the cover on my engine had to make gasket cause i couldnt find replacement it was leaking. I have very light ticking like in valves but again only cold. Far from knock. I look in the oil fill hole and engine there is very very clean like almost polished looking. My oil is barely dirty when i change it too. I use wix xp filters. I try my best to take care of this car annd i cant figure out a clean engine no knock new sensor and no visible damage to wiring keeps driving me crazy. Also i did pull and clean filter under sensor but it wasnt even dirty i just cleaned anyway while i was there. Is there anything im missing? Any help appreciated. I bought this car used and have more than i spent on the car in just new parts in it. I do all work myself except when i got new trans. Its really driving me crazy. Thanks for any pointers.

just curious... what is your oil pressure if you read it from the OBD2
