I have 06 impala as after I turn off and remove key it sounds like something still running, rough too. And the other day it sounded like a bearing going bad but sounded like coming from the block from in front with hood open. I thought pulley maybe but would that echo so it sounds like its in the block. Any help appreciated. I'm going to have Chevy dealer run diagnostic but no lights and they probably won't be able to tell me nothing. I'm just paying to have them give me all codes from the computers a reg scanner can't communicate with. Thanks for any help
06 impala ss  factory bose rear deck jbl doors with sundown audio sub,3cubic ft band pass alpine amp, 20% tint , a lot of suspension redone with Moog,kyb struts ,drilled slotted rotors,carbon pads,black headlights,rebuilt trans, backyard intake w/K&N filter,3 in exhaust all the way back. Dod delete(software not hardware). P zero tires factory rims

You turn the ignition off and remove the key... and the engine is still running???

No I can tell engine itself turns off but something still spinning and making grinding noise. Maybe the fans still running but I can feel it too. It has a sound like bad bearing grinding but also shakes too. Not real bad shake but noticable. I get the grinding noise and shake intermittently while car is running too

Figured it out. It was radiator fan. Bottom loose and one of the motors going up. Ordered already replacing this weekend.  Thanks though.
