ls4 Intake???
« on: Jul 29, 2015, 01:52 PM »
Has anyone installed the MSD, Weiand, Texes 102mm or 92mm  Intakes on their LS4. Also thinking of may be doing the LS1,2, or 6 intake. not sure what to really do yet. my ls4 is still very much stock, just want a little more power.

Go look on ls1tech. I myself have a FAST 92 on mine. And another member has put a FAST 102 on theirs. And none of those will gain you anything over a LS6 manifold on a stock LS4.

I work with after market parts Dorman put out a intake  #615-900  that fit Cadillac 2005-04, Chevrolet 2004-01, Pontiac 2004 V8 350 5.7L. Will this intake work on the Ls4 mod. Any input would be helpfull.

That intake is a replacement for ls1, ls6 so yes it should work. Here's a write up on a test done on it against a and ls6 and fast 90mm.    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.onallcylinders.com/2014/12/04/dorman-ls6-intake-dyno-test/&ved=0CCkQFjAAahUKEwjQl_yegKTHAhWBtoAKHaMuBR0&usg=AFQjCNGdAQ64SZgeOvYwKGYwPZIE_Ko-VA&sig2=b--E4Ez8qCOMoNxc2fqhKA

Careful, the Dorman bottom is cast from the old fast 78.
May interfere with the ps pump.

Overkill now has an intake mani option too.
